WriteOnCon Notes About Voice

For writers, especially novelists, one of the things you often hear agents and editors talk about is “voice.”  A lot of importance is attached to voice, but many–particularly first-time novelists–have a really hard time grasping what it is.  And many agents and editors have a very hard time defining it.

I stumbled across these links to a WriteOnCon discussion about voice (WriteOnCon is an online writer’s convention geared towards writers of children, Middle Grade, and Young Adult fiction).  While the agents and publishers involved in the discussion are primarily interested in Young Adult fiction, their comments are generally useful to writers of all types.

Without further ado, here are the links.  Enjoy and learn!
