Steve Jobs (1955-2011)

Apple reported this evening that legendary computer entrepreneur, innovator, and genius Steve Jobs has passed away. He’d been looking increasingly sick, and his recent resignation from his position as Apple’s CEO signaled all was not well with his health. So his passing does not come as a great surprise, but it’s still very sad. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends.

If you use an iPhone, an iPad, a MacBook, or if you own any Pixar movies, or, it could be argued, if you use Windows–Steve Jobs has touched your life. Few get to have that kind of positive influence on so many people. He will be missed.

In 2005, Steve delivered the Commencement address at Stanford. It is well worth fifteen minutes of your time. You can watch it here.
