Pay It Forward Blogfest
OK, so I’m a little late with this (been a busy day, and it hasn’t stopped). If you want to know what this is about, check out The Quintessentially Questionable Query Experiment. And then, I ask that you take a look at these three lovely blogs that may or may not be “flying under the radar,” but I think are worthy of your time, and perhaps following:
- Over Yonder…: Bailey Hammond is a college student and aspiring YA author. Her posts are usually thoughtful and fun.
- Kris Atkins Writes: Kris is another aspiring YA author. She has commented more than a few times on my blog, and so her blog definitely deserves your time and attention, given she has such good taste. π Seriously, hers is another good blog, and she does love her gifs!
- Kate L. Lineberger: Kate is yet another aspiring YA author (notice a theme here?), and was the first person outside my family to comment on my blog. She blogs about her writing experience, troubles and triumphs, and I’m sure she would appreciate your company along the way.
It almost seems redundant to say these are all good blogs. I mean, would I recommend them if they weren’t? Please check them out, and I really encourage you to comment. Nothing brings a smile to a blogger’s face (especially if your blog is not heavily-visited) more than a comment from someone you don’t know. Thanks!
HEY! You mentioned me! Awwwww! And now you have my undying loyalty. Consider me your knight or lady-at-arms. Whichever makes the most sense to you. I’m so glad that you think that I’m “usually thoughtful and fun,” because that’s EXACTLY what I was going for. It’s like you can read my mind by reading my blog posts. I’d copyright that ability if I were you. π
I’m going to add you to mine. It just feels right! (And that’s what the edit option is for!)
Your last post about the kick-boxers did it. π I hope you get lots of visitors and loads of comments!
Hi, I am visiting from PIF & also because Bailey recommended your blog. Oh, and I loved your comment on her blog about getting the ball rolling on comments. I laughed for a while. It was your comment of the delirium from this blogfest.
It is nice to meet you
Nice to meet you too, Melissa. I seriously hope this blogfest generates interest in all these blogs that are out there (mine included). We put a lot of time and effort into these posts, and while it’s good writing practice, it would be nice to know Aunt Mabel isn’t the only one reading them. π (I don’t have an Aunt Mabel, btw–not that I know of). Thanks for stopping by!
Thanks for the shout out! I DO indeed love my gifs, especially the ones that have animals. They make my world a brighter place. ^_^
You are more than welcome, Kris! I hope this shout out drives a few more people your way. π
Hey Colin! I’m the co-host of the blogfest. Late is fine with me. Thanks for participating in our blogfest.
Hey, Alex! Thanks for stopping by and for organizing this blogfest. I’ve already subscribed to a few more blogs and learned a thing or two, so I’d call it a success!
Stopping by from the blogfest. Nice to meet you!
Nice to meet you too, Golden Eagle. Thanks for stopping by!
Dude, Colin, thanks so much for taking part.
My only problem with your participation is that I can’t find your Google Friend Connect follower widget. Your blog looks cool, but without GFC, how am I supposed to know when to come back?
Hello Matthew! I’m sorry, I thought I had added just about every widget, gadget, and whatnot to this blog to make it as socially available (and acceptable) as possible! It took me a little while, but I think I’ve remedied the GFC issue now.
Thanks for pointing me to that widget. I’ve actually been looking for something like that. And thanks for dropping by!
Yay! I already know two of these! And love them!
Have a great week!
Nice. I hadn’t visited any of these YA writers yet!
I’ve seen one the other two I will give a look, thanks for the picks and nice blog too.
