The Brothers Depart

My brothers left today to return to England. sniff.  It’s been really great having them here. We had a lot of fun–well, I did, and they didn’t complain so I presume they enjoyed themselves too.  There were no major outings, just a lot of hanging out with the family, shopping, and just spending time together talking and catching up. But there were some notable events. For a start, as indicated on a previous blog, we watched the Doctor Who Children in Need mini episode–the first new Doctor Who episode we’d seen together in the same room in over 25 years. This past Sunday, I made another attempt at Yorkshire Pudding (with Awesome Sauce of course–though this time made Awesomer with mushrooms), and my older brother made mince pies and custard (well, I made the custard, but that was the easy part). I might blog about these later in the week. For now, I want to thank you, my readers, for being patient with me over the past few weeks. I know the blog articles have probably lacked due to me not giving them as much time as usual–and I’ve certainly not commented on blogs, or replied to comments on this blog as much as usual over the last few weeks. And yet I see from the stats you haven’t all just abandoned me. I really appreciate that, and I’ll try to get back into a better blogging frame of mind now that things are slowly returning to normal.

Sounds like a great visit! I’ll have to track down the Doctor Who–those are usually a lot of fun (although since I am a huge Pond fan it will be hard to top the last one.)
