Flash Fiction Friday

We haven’t kicked the Random Word Generator in a while, so let’s give it a go and see what we get!

  • spike
  • computer
  • binder
  • pharmacy
  • oyster

Here’s my 100-word story containing all those words:

Red lights flashed, alarms blared. Darren was glad for the time bought by barricading doors and disabling the elevators. But it wasn’t much.

He found the address binder shelved with a pharmacy logo—a lame disguise. Next he located the oyster-colored MacBook. He pulled a large spike from his bag and thrust it into the computer’s shiny surface, directly over the hard drive.

Darren shouldered his bag containing the binder, the DVDs, and the Blu-Rays, then headed for the window, and the rope to the street below.

Sure, he could sue the pirates, but this was cheaper—and more satisfying.

Have a great weekend!

  1. You had me thinking it was a zombie apocalypse flash at first.
