Wizard of Winter
We’re into the home stretch now on the A-to-Z Blogging Challenge. For today’s 100-word flash fiction, I’m changing things up again. Something a bit lighter than yesterday’s. For my prompt, I’m taking one of Dena Pawling‘s suggestions. Again, thank you all for the great suggestions. We’re nearly done, so keep it up!
WIZARD OF WINTER
The proprietor skated up to their table in a white robe and hat, like a bleached Harry Potter. He set their sundaes in front of them and smiled. “Enjoy! They’re magical.”
Annie laughed. “You pick some of the weirdest places to study. I mean, how cheesy is that?”
Ryan shrugged, trying not to blush. “The sundaes are supposed to be the best.”
Annie pushed her math to the side and took a bite. “Ooo! I got a warm rush. Strange. Did you feel that?”
Ryan wouldn’t have noticed if he did.
She gazed at his face, smiling.
The wizard grinned.
Good grief… tomorrow’s letter is X. Don’t let me down, friends! Give me something I can work with!! 😉
Yay! Glad you could use one of my prompts! Cute story too.
X-box. X-ray. Xylophone fantasy. Excelsior. And Excellent use of prompt words all month!

Thanks, Dena. And thanks for the x-words. I know a lot of people fudge this one by using “ex.” I did it last time with Paul McCartney songs (I used “Heather”–his EX-wife for whom he wrote a song while they were still an item). But I’m being strict on myself here, so I’m afraid only actual x-words. We’ll see how that works out for me… 🙂
Aww, a sweet little tale 🙂

I like some magic sundaes right now.
x is so difficult, I use the roman numerals if I can’t find a decent x word.

Roman numerals–there’s an idea. Thanks, lissa!
OMG! Magical sundaes!
Can you do anything with “xyster?”
An ice cream flavor that even Ben & Jerry’s don’t have! 😉 Hmmm… I don’t know, but that’s another good word. Thanks, Liam!
